We are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and and the Pelvic, Obstetric, Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) and will examine and treat you in line with the applicable codes of practice. After examination we will explain your assessment of the presenting concerns and propose treatment if appropriate: explaining what is involved, including any risks.
You may decline any of the treatments proposed without prejudice.

Your consultation and treatment will usually be on a one-to-one basis (unless otherwise agreed) and in the privacy of the treatment room/cubicle or in a chosen domiciliary setting.
Your appointment/s will be scheduled according to your needs and to the best of our ability.
informed consent policy
We will discuss your condition and options for treatment with you so that you are appropriately informed and can make decisions relating to treatment. You may choose to consent to or refuse any form of treatment for any reason including religious or personal grounds.
Once you have given consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
We comply with the CSPs guidance on Consent in Physiotherapy Practice. Please contact us if you wish to know more.

Clients are required to consent to assessment and treatment. They are expected to respect the clinician during the treatment sessions. Aggressive and/or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. Additional permission will be required for audio / video recording and for the circulation of reports to other relevant professionals.
termination of therapy
Beth Bryant Fitness & Rehabilitation reserves the right to terminate therapy at any time.

chaperone
We are committed to providing safe and effective care, in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
We do not provide chaperones at our clinic, but should you wish to be accompanied by a chaperone then please feel free to bring someone with you.
Anyone receiving treatment under the age of 18 is required to attend with a parent or guardian.
cancellation policy
Appointments
​
Whilst we are flexible and understand that they are times when you might need to move or cancel an appointment,
we do ask for at least 24 hours notice. We run a busy clinic and often have a cancellation list for clients requiring an appointment.
​
If a client is more than 15 minutes late for their scheduled appointment, it will be at the discretion of the therapist if they can be treated or not.
​

Should you cancel with less than 24 hour's notice, or fail to attend your appointment without notice, the full fee for appointment booked will still be charged. This will be automatically invoiced, with payment due within 7 days of the
late cancelled/missed appointment.

Treatment packages
​
Please note that when a package/pre-payment is made to the clinic the following policy applies:

A cancellation charge will apply for appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment being due to take place.

Credits must be used within 6 months, after which they will expire and no refund is available.

Accounts with a valid credit must have future appointment(s) in the diary with the aim of using the credit.

All credits must be redeemed with treatment.

Gift vouchers

Please note that when a Gift Voucher is purchased from the clinic the following policy applies:

Gift Vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

The Gift Voucher code is required to redeem the voucher.

This Privacy Notice intends to provide clear and understandable details about the information we collect about you (or anyone you have provided us with information about, e.g. your child), how we use and protect it. ​We will treat all information, facts, matters, documents and all other materials of a confidential nature which we receive or create as a result of your treatment as confidential. All written, audio, visual and video records will be stored securely. Information shared within the treatment sessions will be treated with the strictest of confidence and at no time will this information be shared with any third parties without your consent. Beth Bryant Fitness & Rehabilitation confirm that we are GDPR compliant and are registered with the Information Commissioners Office on the “Register of Data Controllers” as required by the Data Protection Act 1998. All data held by us is processed in accordance with GDPR.

request for medical records
Requests for copies of medical records must be made in writing by either the client, the instructing / funding party or their legal representative. Any party requesting copies of medical records other than the client, must include a signed authority form, that authorises the release of the clients records to that specific party. The signature on this form must match the signature that we hold on file.

This form must be compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018. Records will not be released in the absence of this document. We reserve the right to ask the client attends to confirm their identify (passport, drivers licence,) before notes are released.
​
All medical records requests are handled in accordance with GDPR.
In certain situations we may charge a fee for the processing of these requests. If a fee is required, notes will be released once payment has cleared.
​
If you are the client, you can request to view your notes and personal information within the clinic free of charge, this will be during your appointment time.
You are also able to view copies of letters and reports that are about you, before they are sent off.
